Analysis Paralysis!

Sometimes, we think about way to much at once. We cant calm our brains long enough to see the answers that are already there. If ever you find yourself in this scenario of having "analysis paralysis", my advice is to JUST STOP. Just stop. Seek Silence. Try to meditate, or at least just take a moment to yourself to realize that sometimes a decision is better than no decision. This isnt always the case, but more often than not, making a decision allows us to do to at least the justice of either confirming one door, or closing it. Either way, we are one step closer to another path. And isnt that what its all about anyway? Progressing?

Standing Still

So...
I’ve decided that its time to wait on the miracles.
To wait on GOD, Allah, Jesus, or whom/whatever works for you.
To wait on serendipity.
To wait on luck.
To wait on chance.
To wait on coincidence. To wait on solutions. To wait on blessings. To wait on ideas. To wait on confirmation.
All this said, I am kind of tired of worrying or concerning myself with things that I have no control over. Its kind of like reading a fortune cookie that tells you, that something bad is going to happen today. Most people ( I don’t care who lies and says they are not included), would go around the rest of the day waiting for something bad to happen, looking, expecting something bad to happen. And in everyday life its the same. You know that a certain bill is coming up and is due, or you know that a particular appointment is coming up that you aren’t looking forward to, or maybe the conversation from your significant other, “we need to talk”. It’s all the same.
Unless you immediately set your mind to believe that this is a good life, and all things good are coming your way, you end up worrying about stuff that doesn’t even exist. The thought of something bad happening is sometimes actually more frightening than the actual event. Because guess what, the even actually hasn’t even happened yet. But if you have all of your energy focused towards that event, chances are you are helping to speed up the manifestation of that ill result that you don’t want.
I have to check myself on this. So today, my goal is to apply a very important theory to my thoughts and issues today: The Serenity Prayer. Ive mentioned a shortened version of this is a previous post, but its true, I really live by this.
“God grant me the Serenity, to accept the things I cannot change…
Courage to change the things that I can…
and Wisdom to know the difference"
I think if you take and break down all of your “perceived” problems to this format, you’d be surprised how much of life that you can and can’t control. Actually use this as a formula. Believe me, it works…
My last thought is this, take a look at the things that may be bothering you at this time. Decide which things are actual real current existing valid concerns, and which are being perceived as problems because of your worrying.
You can choose to have faith, or worry. You cannot do both at the same time. The decision is yours.

And Courage....

Continuing on with the topic of change. I think its absolutely necessary to bring to the light that change is continuous, change is inevitable, and change should be valued.

These days, Change is like an Adversary, instead of a tool. Instead of viewing Change as a step towards progress, we see it as our enemy, out to get us.
In fact, Change is meant to be the result of many catalysts that we are faced with everyday.
Think about it, we lose a job, we lose a friend, we breakup, we divorce, we get sick, etc..
Everything that happens to us, is meant to prompt a change of some sort. Whether it be a change within our spiritual focus, our personal relationships, or even our physical actions.
Simply put, if we dont change, we dont progress, we dont evolve, we dont adapt, we dont adapt...
We fail.

So consider this today as you fight against whatever adverse feelings you have towards making changes in your life.

Never put off until tomorrow, that which needs to be done Today.

And when you know you NEED to make a change, but feel as if you dont possess the will to change..

Pray.

Find Inspiration Everywhere

Inspiration can be everywhere and anywhere we look. In our homes, in people we meet, in a simple sign on the street. One of the best things we can do to try to get that external motivation and inspiration is to surround ourselves with reminders.

1.Try decorating your surroundings with inspirational phrases and expressions that keep you motivated and thinking in the right positive mindset. Try some inspirational designs by me, The Vinyl Expressionista, customize your own favorite sayings or, browse through the catalog at http://expresswithshay.uppercaseliving.net

2. Dont take a clean home for granted. Try not to go to bed, or leave your home a mess. I know that sometimes you may get too busy for your own good (especially when you have children), but try to do your best to do once over before you retire for the evening or leave your home. It does wonders for your attitude the next morning! And who wants to come home from work, or school, etc.. and walk into a mess knowing that you now how to jump into cleaning mode.

3. Organize, Organize, Organize. Keeping some form of organization in your home or can easily keep you motivated or inspired to tackle the next task at hand. Which brings us to our next point.

4. Make a list, check it twice! I am one who hates lists, but alas, I must admit that I need them. Especially when things in life begin to get crazy and I feel overwhelmed with so much going on,  I realize that I must stop, take a deep breath, and take stock of everything swirling around in my head that needs to get done!  Once I can categorize everything that is an immediate need, or task I feel inspired to begin to mark things on my list. The more you begin to feel like you are successfully completing goals, the more likely you are to continue and extend yourself in the goal setting process. More successfully completed goals= more inspiration.

5. Last but not least, LOOK FOR inspiration in everything you do, everywhere you go, and everyone you meet. "The Creator often comes to us in the form of someone we can help or a situation in which we can be of service. We must understand that these are our opportunities to build our Light, to bolster our protective shield, to give us the strength to rise above." - Karen Berg. It is said that you never know who you are running into. People you meet, can be pure sources of inspiration. Listen to people's stories, hear their struggles, their happiness, their thoughts, their goals. Use the sense of community to provide a source of inspiration and drive for the things that you wish to change and deal with in your life.

6. Get R Done~

MotivatElevate

Make the changes you need to make in your life NOW.
Before the opportunity is taken away from you to be in charge of the things that happen to you. 90% of your life is happening without your attention to it. Which means that 10% is happening because you intend it to on purpose!

We cannot control everything that happens to us. However, we can control our reaction to life's trials and situations. Its our job to be proactive, remain neutral to occurences that arent pleasant, and make changes and plan accordingly.

Give  yourself a daily reminder of the need to control your reactions and wisely plan your actions. Ive decided to make the changes in myself and handle the things that need to be handled before someone, something, or God handles them for you!

Tell yourself througout the day: Although I cannot control everything that happens to me, I can control my reactions to life. If I handle my business accordingly, and plan for success, I will receive more of the results that I want. I want more than 10% control.
